Vocabulary Sentence
Pick one word from Lesson 1 in Wordly Wise and write a great sentence in which the word is used correctly. Make sure you capitalize the first letter in the sentence and use correct punctuation. As a challenge, see if you can write a sentence using two or more of the words correctly (don't just list the words).
Here is my sentence, "The dispicable behavior of demeaning others should never be emulatd and should be rebuffed by all."

The Good, The Bad, and The Just Plain Lucky
Today in reading, you all read a series of articles describing the survival stories of some very lucky people. First, tell me which story you liked the best and why. Then, list the 5 words you and your partner used to describe the people in the stories. I heard a few great ones today when I talked with some of you and want to hear what else you all came up with.
