Homework 10/30

Social studies classes have homework to finish the assignment worked on in class.  Each class had over 30 minutes to work.  Don't forget to work on your children's book-- laptops will be available on Wednesday morning so that students can work.  I will be in the room at 8:00.  Test on Chapter 5 will be November 8.

Reading students should be studying for a vocabulary test this Thursday!  I know this is the day after Halloween, but they have known about the test since last week, and with the long weekend, we will have trouble getting the test in.

SS Children's Book

Students have had 3 days in class to begin to work on their children's book which is designed to help them synthesize what they have learned about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War, the events of the Revolutionary War, and the role Georgia played in the time period.  Below are the guidelines for the book and the rubric that will be used to grade the books.  Students have been reminded to use their own words and not to copy and paste from web sites.  The books are due November 7.  Students who do not wish to work on the books over the long weekend should turn them in early.

No current event due this week!

Thursday--Reading Log Due; Vocabulary Test on Wordly Wise Lesson 1

Social Studies--

After Monday, the students will need to work on their children's book for homework.  The books will be due on November 7; however, students may turn their books in early so they do not have to worry with them over the long weekend.  Any other homework will be classwork that isn't finished.

Remember, November 5 and 6 are professional learning days for teachers.

Reading--Vocabulary Quiz

Just a reminder that the reading classes will have a quiz tomorrow!  In class today, we reviewed the words, and students had some time to study.

Several students did not have their reading logs today.  If they bring them tomorrow, they will get partial credit.
