Today we had our first quiz on Analyzing Data. If you were absent please come in at 8:20 to take your quiz. I will pick you up in the cafeteria.

Homework:  LINE GRAPHS   TEXTBOOK pages 324-325 (6-15) 

HINTS:  #6   Use an interval of 3 starting at 215....All work in your spiral.

            #9  Use an interval of 100 starting at 0

            #12 Use an interval of 5 starting at 0

We will start help sessions next week. We don't need one tomorrow since we just had a quiz and Thursday morning I will be at a inservice.

Homework: Study for your Monday quiz. Use your study guide, and all worksheets in your binder. You can also use your textbook or the online textbook.

The quiz covers: Numerical and Categorical Data, Scale and Interval,  Frequency Tables,Bar Graphs, Histograms, Line plots

Be familiar with the vocabulary and the graphs.

Good Luck!  Make sure you come prepared with paper and a pencil to take your quiz.

Homework: Bar Graph and Histogram worksheet. Complete both sides. Use a ruler. Make it creative if you would like.

Today we talked about HISTOGRAMS. We found out there are two major differences between a BAR GRAPH and a  HISTOGRAM.   A histogram's bars will touch where the bars on a bar graph do not. A histogram has intervals on the x-axis and a bar graph does not use intervals on the x-axis. If the data collected uses a grouped frequency table then you will need a HISTOGRAM  to graph the data. Please refer to the notes given to you on your worksheet for more notes.

Homework: Bar Graph and Histogram Worksheet: #1-6( don't forget to do #5 and #6)  Use a ruler for your bar graph and your histogram.  Use the intervals that we gave you in class and complete all 6 questions.

Reminder: quiz Monday on Data Analysis: Scale, Intervals, Bar Graphs, Grouped Frequency Table, Ungrouped Frequency Table, Categorical and Numerical Data, and line plots.

Today the classes were all a little different because of the fire drill. Please remember each class may have a different assignment.

                                              Textbook page 310 (1-7)  omit #4 Show all work in spiral.

2nd and  4th        complete the above assignment and  FRIDAYS WORK (5-8) IN YOUR SPIRAL.

What a great week we had. Today we got lockers and textbooks.

Please make sure all materials are in class everyday. Your binder should be organized with a spiral, pencil pouch, pencils, sharpener, sock, dry erase marker, and dividers(3)

You do not have to cover your book. If you want to you can use a jumbo book cover to cover your math book.

Homework:  Complete 5-8 on your worksheet. Three of them are GROUPED FREQUENCY TABLES.One of them is an UNGROUPED FREQUENCY TABLE. Please use a ruler and draw each one with the correct intervals. Use the best interval that fits the data the best.

Fourth period and second period will not complete this assignment. We will complete that assignment on Monday.

Remember to keep your spiral in your BINDER. If you take it out to do work, put it back in your binder when you are done.
