Today we discussed Surface Area of a rectangular prism. We learned how you find the area of each face and then add them together.

Homework:  1-9 on worksheet.  Show all formulas and steps.

CRCT workbook:   pages 46- 48  (1-5, 9,10, 12,13,16)  Ten problems.  Due Wednesday

2/18

Today we talked about views and 3 dimensional figures. Please read page 564 for an explanation if you were out.

We completed the worksheet on views. Please draw the front, side, and top views. DO NOT do the bottom and back views as the directions on the worksheet say.

We completed a BULLYING ACTIVITY in class.

Also we completed the CRCT pages 46-48  #'s 1-5  9   10  12,13, and 16 in the workbook.

We also turned in pages 7,8,and 9 for a grade.

Have a great Break.   If you missed the test last week.... make up at 8:15 MONDAY when we get back.

Today we talked about NETS on 3 dimensional figures. Test were returned. We had a special help session today to go over any questions about the test.

Homework: Nets worksheet      3rd period completed both sides of the worksheet

Today we talked about 3 dimensional shapes. We found out the difference between prisms and pyramids. Read section 10-6 if you missed class. Also listen to Mr. Berger   section 10-6   Example 1.  It is really good!!!!!  

Homework:  worksheet    both sides    CRCT work is due Friday.  Do half tonight and the other half on Thursday night.Counts as a grade!!!!

Tests will be returned tomorrow.

Special help session tomorrow to go over test.     AND    Make up test tomorrow at 8:15.

Today we had our big UNIT TEST. If anyone missed the test, the make up time is tomorrow at 8:15. BE ON Time!!!!!  good luck............

# 2  IS TRICKY.  THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT UNITS.   CHANGE THE FEET TO INCHES BEFORE YOU START THE PROBLEM

Today we discussed SCALE FACTOR. We disussed how to find the scale facltor and the relationship between scale factor of the shapes and the ratios of the perimeters.

Homework:  Complete the SCALE FACTOR AND PERIMETER COMUMN ON YOUR WORKSHEET.

FOR THOSE THAT WANT AN EXTRA CHALLENGE. COMPLETE  THE AREA COLUMN TOO.
