ALP-LA and LA - We are beginning a new study of literary devices. Today we saw a video on literary devices. All students need to review the following terms by writing the definitions of these literary devices:
onomatopoeia simile metaphor personification alliteration allusion paradox imagery symbolism hyperbole
Tomorrow all students will receive a copy of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech. We will be analyzing this speech for the use of these devices and also for King's use of ethical, emotional, and logical appeals.

ALP-LA and LA - All classes need to bring in writing notes using the Writing Rubric given out in class today. ( The 15 pages of notes need to be in the correct order)
* Also due tomorrow is an introduction to the persuasive topic that was brainstormed in class today. ( in pen or typed)
