Wednesday 8/15

All classes are beginning the year by organizing information about themselves and creating a newspaper front page called "Extra! Extra! Read All About Me!" Students have been busy the first two days of school writing news stories about themselves. We will continue to work on this project in class the rest of this week. Students will receive a writing grade based on the content, style, and mechanics of their stories. There will also be a separate evaluation on the overall appearance of their newspaper including a cartoon and questions about themselves, a movie ad, and book review.        DUE DATE: Tuesday 8/21

HOMEWORK: Most students will find that they need to spend some time at home working on this project to meet the due date!

WELCOME TO 8th GRADE!

This year will pass by quickly as we prepare for Walton. Please check the blog regularly and use it as a tool to help with your success in language arts this year.
