Monday we will review for Final Exam with the "Dancing Grammarsters".

Anne Frank written work and test tomorrow 6/12.

Today in class, we wrote a reflective paragraph on The Greatest Generation.                    Topic: What Can Be Gained by reading The Greatest Generation?                                         Staple to notes and turn in for a quiz grade.

Remember: Bring in colorful stationary to write a letter to upcoming 8th graders on "How to Survive 8th Grade".

Reminder: Anne Frank - The Diary of a Young Girl written work due and Test on Tuesday 5/12.

Most students finished The Greatest Generation in class today. If not, turn in Monday 5/11.

Final Exam Study Packet given out in class today. Due Thursday 5/14.

Next week bring in a colorful sheet of paper with a border or a piece of stationary to write your letter to the rising 8th graders for the "How to Survive 8th Grade" bulletin board.

Final Exam for language arts Thursday morning 5/21.

Today we continued reading Brokaw's The Greatest Generation. Six stories about WWII veterans are due on Friday. We are taking notes using a graphic organizer to focus on specific character traits demonstrated by these men and women.

Tomorrow we will use class time to make dance decorations for the 8th grade dance.

HELP SESSIONS FOR THE FINAL EXAM WILL BE NEXT TUESDAY AFTERNOON 4:15 - 5:00 and WEDNESDAY MORNING 8:15-9:00. IF YOU CHOOSE, YOU MAY ATTEND ONE OR BOTH.

REMINDER: Anne Frank written work due on Tuesday 5/12. TEST on Anne Frank same day Tuesday 5/12.

On Monday we will begin reading selected stories in The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw. Books will be provided.

ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENTS:  Information from the CDC regarding swine flu  has been placed on our web site. We are encouraging students to wash their hands and carry individual hand saniters in purses, etc. Our school always has soap, hot water, and paper towels. In addition, most teachers have hand sanitizers on our desks for students use. Please speak with your student at home about the importance of washing hands, covering mouths when sneezing, etc.
