Friday 1/27/12

The Matter Review was due by today.  Each student took the Chapter 6 pre-test.  We discussed the first half of Chapter 6 Section 1.  Each student should have picked up a study guide (attached).  Make flash cards.  The Chapter 6 Test will be on February 7th.

Thursday 1/26/12

Chapter 5 flash cards were checked.  Today was the Chapter 5 Test.  Make-up:  January 31st at 8:10 in Ms. Roth's room.

Wednesday 1/25/12

We spent the period reviewing for tomorrow's Chapter 5 Test.  There will be the usual voluntary review session at 8:15 on Thursday morning.

Tuesday 1/24/12

The Chapter 5 Review was due by today.  Depending on the score of a pre-test, the students either worked practice problems with me, worked practice problems with a partner, or completed a Newtons lab.  If you were not in class, complete the attached practice problems.

Monday 1/23/12

Each student read Chapter 5 Section 4 and we discussed it.  Make flash cards.  We completed a weight vs. mass activity together.

Thursday 1/19/12

We corrected Tuesday's homework.  Each student read Chapter 5 Section 3.  The section was discussed.  Make flash cards.  The students chose their 3rd quarter lab groups today.  See me if you were absent.

REMINDER:  1.  If you are struggling with the speed and/or acceleration problems that we have been doing, you need to make an appointment in person with me for extra help before school.  Make sure when you come for the help session that you have memorized the speed formula and the acceleration formula prior to the session.

2.  Chapter 5 Test is on January 26th.

3.  The Matter Review that was passed out on the 17th is due on the 27th.

4.  We are running low on quart Ziploc bags for your flash cards.  Please bring in your Science supplies if you have not done so.
