The students continued to work on vocabulary and workbook pages. The vocabulary is due by Friday. The workbook pages are due by Wednesday, May 7th. We will continue to work on these assignments in class on Thursday and Friday. The Wave Test will be on May 14th or 16th.
Progress reports were sent home today. Only those students with an average below 80 have to get a parent signature.
Your comprehensive final exam will be administered during the afternoon exam session on Tuesday, May 20th. The review sheets that were given to you in preparation for the CRCT should be used, along with your flash cards, to prepare you for the final exam.

The Science CRCT is over, so now we can get back to doing labs! Today was a quiet day. The students worked on the vocabulary for waves. We will continue to do that on Tuesday. The vocabulary is due on Friday, May 2nd. If you are not going to be here on Friday, turn the work into the basket before you leave on Thursday. The Wave Test will either be on Wednesday, May 14th or on Friday, May 16th.
Monday is the Science CRCT. Review the 10 CRCT/Final Exam Reviews and document your study time on the verification form attached to today's blog. For each one hour that you document, you will receive 5 extra credit points (maximum of 20) on the Wave Test that is coming up in a few weeks. This only applies to study time spent with the CRCT/Final Exam Reviews, it does not apply to the online tests. The form must be turned in on Monday - no exceptions. For every test you take and pass with at least an 80, you will receive 3 extra credit points on your final exam (maximum of 18).
I will be in at 8:15 on Monday morning to work with anyone that needs a last minute question answered. If you discover during your studying this weekend that you don't fully understand a concept or if you just want to get into a Science frame of mind, then come on in. You are going to do GREAT!

CRCT review continues. We reviewed some of the Matter material. The students took a pop quiz on Matter. Make-up: Wednesday 8:45 AM in the Science classroom. Reminder: I will be available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Monday morning for additional CRCT review time.
You now have access to online tests for more CRCT review. Use the same logon that you use for your other classes. The web site is www.georgiaoas.org There are now six Science tests available to you. The tests are:

For each test that you complete and score at least an 80 on by Monday morning at 8 AM (4/28/08), you will receive 3 points on your final exam grade. You may take the tests as often as you like. Print out a copy of your score and turn it into the basket on my desk by 4:15 PM on Monday.
