The February book cards were turned in today in Science.  In class, the students continued their work on the online electricity simulations.  Any simulations not completed in class should be completed for homework.  The CRCT/Final Exam Review for Matter #3 was handed out today.  If you did not complete it at school, complete it at home and turn it in on Monday.  If you were absent today, the handout is attached to today's blog.  Download matter_3.doc   The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on March 4th.

Thursday 2/28/08

Flash cards were checked today.  Today was the first part of an electricity online simulations lab.  We will complete it in class on Friday.  If you were absent today, here is the handout.  Complete at least the first 2 simulations at home tonight.  Download electricity_simulations_lab.doc   The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on March 4th.

The February bookcards are due in Science tomorrow.

Wednesday 2/27/08

Tuesday's workbook assignment is due on Thursday.  We completed the notes for Chapter 21 today.  You now have all of the notes for the Chapter 20/21 Test.  Make flash cards.  The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on March 4th.

Tuesday 2/26/08

Complete the work you began in class:  Chapter 20 Sections 1, 2, 3 and Chapter 21 Sections 2, 3 in the workbooks.  All work is due on Thursday.  The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on March 4th.

Monday 2/25/08

Today in lab the students completed the parallel circuit activity.  Make-up topic:  Parallel Circuits.  Bring your book to class on Tuesday. The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on March 4th.  In this class on February 29th the book card for this month must be turned in.  It must be on the appropriate index card.

Friday 2/22/08

Today the students did the first part of a 2-day lab on circuits.  Make-up topic:  Series Circuits  If you did not complete the Matter #2 CRCT/Final Exam Review at school, then you must do so for homework.  It is due on Monday.  The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on March 4th.

Thursday 2/21/08

Section 3 of Chapter 20 was discussed today.  We experimented with circuit construction on the Smart Board.  Make flash cards for today's notes.  Complete the series and parallel circuit activity for homework if you did not complete it in class.  Study in order to be prepared for the 2-day lab that begins on Friday.  Due to the prolonged lab, the Chapter 20/21 Test has been moved to Tuesday, March 4th.

Wednesday 2/20/08

Welcome back!

Today we performed demonstrations with the Vandergraff Generator in order to demonstrate transfer of charge.  Students were able to participate in the "hair-raising" activities.  No make-up.  Here is a link if you want to construct your own generator:    http://scitoys.com/scitoys/scitoys/electro/electro6.html

The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on February 28th. Don't forget about tonight's lunar eclipse! It starts around 8:40.

Today in class we worked Ohms problems.  Students also received the CRCT review for the first part of matter.  The review is due on Wednesday.  The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on February 28th.

Today we discussed Chapter 20 Section 2.  Make flash cards.  We did Ohms practice problems and an iteractive Ohms activity online.  The Chapter 20/21 Test will be on February 28th.
