Once again, thank you for all of the fabulous gifts. You are so very kind!
Have a wonderful holiday. I will see you all in January!
Today's class was a study hall. The students spent the time preparing for their social studies mid-term and their math exam.
The wonderful gifts just keep coming! Thank you so much.
The Chapter 13 test was today. Tomorrow notebooks will be checked.
Many, many thanks to all of the students (and their parents) that have given me such wonderful gifts during this holiday season. I will enjoy each and every one of them. You are so very kind!

Today was spent in review for tomorrow's test. The usual voluntary review session will take place at 8:20 on Wednesday morning. Chapter 13 flash cards were checked. Notebooks will be checked on Thursday.
We began our test review by getting in lab groups and answering questions in a Jeopardy challenge. Make-up topic: James Watt and the creation of the horsepower unit. We will review again in class on Tuesday. The test will be on Wednesday, December 19th. Notebooks will be checked on Thursday.
Today in class we completed the notes for Chapter 13 and made flash cards. We worked energy and work practice problems. Prepare for a Jeopardy lab on Monday. Flash cards will be checked on Monday or Tuesday. The Chapter 13 test will be on Wednesday, December 19th. Notebooks will be checked on Thursday, December 20th. We will have a lab on the 20th. This will be your final grade for the second quarter.
Today we discussed Section 2 of Chapter 13 and made flash cards. Each student received a review sheet with all of the formulas from this Chapter. We also worked practice problems.
The Chapter 13 test will be on December 19th. The notebook check will be on December 20th.
Thursday's assignment was turned in today, as was the web quest from Monday's class. Each lab group built a roller coaster model today in lab. Make-up topic: Draw a roller coaster track with at least 4 hills and 4 loops. State the elevation at each hill and at the starting point of the coaster. Choose 8 points along the track and state what type of energy (kinetic or potential) is dominating at that point. Show where along the track the potential energy is the greatest and where along the track the kinetic energy is the greatest.
Tomorrow in class we will discuss Section 3 and on Friday we will discuss Section 4 of Chapter 13.
If you missed Tuesday's Metrics quiz, you can make it up before school on Thursday at 8:30 or Friday at 8:30.
The Chapter 13 test will be on December 19th. The notebooks will be checked on December 20th.
Students took a Metrics quiz today and spent the rest of the period working on any assignment since last Thursday that they had yet to complete. Reminder to those of you that have not turned in last Thursday's assignment: Tomorrow is the last day to turn the work in.
On Wednesday the students will work in groups to construct a model of a roller coaster. The information they collected in class on Monday while doing the web quest will be of use to them in the lab.
The Chapter 13 test will be on December 19th. Notebooks will be checked on December 20th. (If you need help organizing your notebook, get with me before the 19th.)
See you in lab on Wednesday!
