Today the students worked on the Chapter 13 workbook pages. All questions and reading activities should be completed and turned in by Wednesday, December 5th. The Einstein's Big Idea timeline, essay, and rubric are due on Monday, December 3rd.
As you go out this weekend, please remember to pick up an item off of the Powers Ferry Elementary wish list that you were given in homeroom today. Let's make this a wonderful holiday season for the students on our list. Thank you!
The students continued to work on the timeline tying up the Einstein's Big Idea activity. The timeline and essay, along with the rubric are due on Monday, December 3rd. If you did not turn in your signed progress report today, you must do so on Friday.

The movie presentation of Einstein's Big Idea concluded today. The students began working on the timeline activity that will help them organize the information they have collected. They will also work on this in class on Thursday. The timeline is due on Monday, December 3rd. Each student must fill out a rubric and turn it in on Monday with the timeline. Science progress reports went home today. They need to be signed and returned on Thursday.

To introduce the unit on Energy, all 8th grade Science stuudents will be watching the docudrama, The Big Idea. This movie is based on the book, The World's Most Famous Equation. The students will be watching the movie again on Tuesday. It will be completed at the beginning of class on Wednesday. As the students watch the movie they are collecting information that will be used in an activity upon the completion of the movie. Students viewed a video depicting the types of bullying. Each student was to develop a cartonn based on one of the types of bullying shown. Due on Tuesday.

The students took a test today. The make-up will be on Monday, Novemebr 19th at 8:15 AM. Each student should complete Body Chemistry for homework. Bring your book to class on Friday.
We reviewed for the test using the Beyond Question challege software. The test is tomorrow, November 15th. The before-school review session for the test was this morning. Be prepared to take the test tomorrow - come with pens, pencils, and paper. Good Luck, Troops!
We reviewed in class for the test. Each student took a metrics quiz today. The make-up for the quiz will be at 8:00 AM on Wednesday morning followed by the test review at 8:20. To further prepare for the test, on Wednesday the students will be competing against each other using Beyond Question, an interactive challenge game. The test is on Thursday, November 15th.
