Your comprehensive final exam will be administered during the afternoon exam session on Tuesday, May 20th. The review sheets that were given to you in preparation for the CRCT should be used, along with your flash cards, to prepare you for the final exam.

Monday 5/19/08
The students were given another set of review questions to complete in class in preparation for the final exam. Any student coming to the review session should bring that set of questions with them to the review. Any student that did not return a textbook must have payment for the book to me by homeroom on Tuesday.
There will be a final exam review on Tuesday morning at 8 AM in the theater.
Your Science exam will be given during the afternoon testing session on Tuesday. Here is a reminder of your room assignments for taking the exam:
1st period - Ms. Vickery's room
2nd period - Ms. Swanson's room
3rd period - Ms. Weaver's room
6th period - Dr. Truelove's room
7th period - Mr. Foti's room (with Ms. Kobylski or Ms. Longeneker)

The students participated in Final Exam Jeopardy today. No make-up. Books were turned in. Study your notes and flash cards in preparation for Tuesday's final exam in Science.
Bring your Science envelope to class on Monday.

We spent the period organizing the year's notes, workbook pages, and final exam reviews so the students will have organized study resources for the final exam AND for the ninth grade Physical Science class. Final exam Jeopardy on Friday and the final exam on Tuesday will be the last grades for the students this school year in Science.
REMINDER: Extra final exam review session on Friday morning at 8:20 in the Science classroom.

Tuesday 5/13/08
We reviewed for tomorrow's Wave Test. Monday's assignment is due tomorrow.
Today each student was given a large envelope. They are to put all of their notes, workbook pages, and CRCT/Final Exam Reviews in the envelope and bring it to class on Thursday, May 16th. I am going to work with them on organizing the year's material so they will have an excellent source to study for the final exam.

The students worked on the Chapter 18 workbook pages. All work is due on Wednesday, May 14th. We will review for the Wave Test in class on Tuesday. Your Wave Test will be on Wednesday, May 14th.
Since the final exam will be made from your notes, flash cards, CRCT/Final Exam Reviews, and the Guided Reading Workbook pages, you will not be using your book for the remainder of the year. Consequently, books will be collected on Friday, May 16th. Bring your book to class on that day. If you have lost your book, check with me for the amount you owe. All books must be turned in or paid for on Friday, May 16th.

We reviewed for the Wave Test with a Jeopardy challenge. Make-up topic: Do the Chapter Assessment at the end of Chapter 17 in your textbook. Do all questions. Be prepared for the Wave Test that will be given on May 14th.

Thursday 5/8/08
As promised for over a week, notebooks were checked today. The students completed the puzzle lab. Make-up: Create your own wave Triazzle puzzle on paper. Be prepared for Jeopardy tomorrow. Chapter 18 workbook pages were collected for a future assignment.

Wednesday 5/7/08
Today the students completed a lab on waves. For the make-up topic, see me. The students also began the task of creating a Triazzle puzzle on waves. They will complete the puzzle on Thursday. The students should be preparing for Jeopardy on Friday and their Wave Test on Wednesday, May 14th.
Bring your student workbooks to class on Thursday.

The students did a problem solving lab today. No make-up necessary. The students were given a handout with study suggestions for the Wave Test that will be on May 14th. It is also an excellent resource to prepare them for Jeopardy on Friday. The students will perform a wave lab tomorrow.
