6th Grade:  Finish "Fractions Mysteries". You don't need to do the other half of that page.

Math 7/8:  Unit Test tomorrow.  Select practice from the worksheets on applications of the Pythagorean Theorem: Unit 2 Applications, "Lancelot" and "Perfume". Use your judgment to decide what you need to practice.  These sheets are available along with the exponent review and some sheets on radicals in your packet which we did not do.  Take a sample of problems to review for the test.  You cannot and should not do everything!

6th Grade:  Continue with the green worksheet and do "Read My Mind" and the problems on the back.  Write on the same paper you used for "Nick the Knight".  For the multiplication mazes, do these directly on the green worksheet.  If you are not sure how to do these, I'll discuss in class tomorrow.

If you did not finish the test today, I will be available at 8:15 tomorrow.

 

Math 7/8:  Finish WS "Population" and also do WS "Did You Hear..." which is a review on radicals.  You can also do column 1 on the worksheet on simplifying/dividing radicals if you have time. 

For tomorrow night, finish "Unit 2 Applications" and "Lancelot" and "Perfume" on the Pythagorean Theorem.  Our unit test is on Friday.  You also need to review all the work we did with exponents and scientific notation for the test.

6th Grade:  Write up "Nick the Knight".  Remember to show how you got your solution--provide some evidence--and write your conclusion.  Please do this on loose leaf paper, not in your book.

Unit test tomorrow.  Help session tomorrow morning at 8:15.

 

Math 7/8:  WS "Two Bullets" and "What Do You Call..."  Remember to draw the diagram, write the formula for the Pythagorean Theorem, show the substitution, and solve.  Label answers appropriately.

Unit Test on Friday.  Help session on Thursday as usual.

6th Grade:  Text page 216/ 4-37 and page 252/ 3-8

Unit Test on Wednesday.  Help session available Wednesday morning at 8:15.

Math 7/8:  WS "Eeney, Miney..."  Your test is postponed until Friday.  This gives us some extra time for practice and review.  As a result, help session is scheduled for our regular time on Thursday at 8:15.

6th Grade:  Finish Word Problem applications of gcf and lcm.  Quiz on Monday.  Test on Wednesday.  Please note: because of the testing schedule, I will be available for help sessions at 8:15 on Monday and Wednesday instead of our usual Tuesday. 

Math 7/8:  Finish #25-48 on the worksheet on simplifying radicals.  Unit Test next Wednesday.  Because of the test schedule, I will be available for help session on Tuesday at 8:15 instead of Thursday.

6th Grade: WS 6-7 Practice.  This sheet is in your packet.  It says to find LCM but I would like you to find both LCM and GCF.  Show all work in your notebook.

Quiz on Monday on GCF, LCM and abundant, deficient, and perfect numbers.

Test on Wednesday on the entire unit.

 

Math 7/8:  WS "Radical Expressions" #1-24

Quiz tomorrow on radicals.  Unit test next Wednesday.

6th Grade:  Red workbook 5-1 (page 34) and WS "CD Player".  If you are still waiting for your workbook, go to my.hrw.com  (do not type www.)  The username is mstom2 and the password is math6

Write this information down somewhere.  You should already have it in your agenda.  Go to chapter 5 and click on the "Extra Practice" tab.  On the right side, click the + for Lesson 1.  The "Practice B" is your workbook page.

Short quiz on Friday on GCF and LCM.  Unit test next Wednesday.

6th Grade:  Red workbook page 26/#10-20 and all of page 27.  If you still do not have a workbook, I made copies and that is the worksheet you got in class today.  Help session tomorrow at 8:15.

Math 7/8:  WS "Did You Hear" and "Professor".  Word problems from textbook page 177.  Also make quiz corrections--write the original problem and do it again in your spiral notebook.  If you did not write the original on your paper, you may come in during my 6th grade help session tomorrow morning to work on it.
