6th Grade:  Text page 271/ 54-62, page 250/ 16-32, page 276/ odds 1-35

Math 7/8:  Finiseh WS "Llama" and "Monastery".  Test on Monday covering systems of equations:  solve by graphing, substitution, transitive property, and elimination; know how to solve basic word problems like the ones on "Crayons" , "Monastery", "Croquet" and "Monkey"--must define the variables, write the equations, and solve.   You are also responsible for solving systems of inequalities by graphing.  Today we solved digit problems (Electrician).  These will not be on the test.  Neither will current problems.  We will spend more time practicing and have an additional quiz on all types of word problems on Wednesday.

6th Grade:  You should have finished p. 246/ 26-43 in class.  If you did not finish it, complete it tonight along with p. 262/ 35-45 and p. 266/ 37-52. 

Math 7/8:  Finish WS "Crayons" and "Electricians"

Adv Math 7:  WS "Llama".  I told you to do "Electrician" also but we did not get to do any of these in class today so you might not be able to figure these out.  Just do "Llama" and also finish the evens from the half sheet.

6th Grade:  Do the back of 13-3 (word problems on probability). Finish textbook review on pages 704-706.  Test tomorrow on probability.  Remember to use your worksheets to review in addition to the textbook.

6th Grade:  WS "Gigi" and "Yardstick".  If you can, do WS 13-3 but it is not mandatory for tonight.

Test on Probability on Wednesday. 

Math 7/8:  No new homework.  If you know how to solve systems by elimination, you may continue with the worksheet and get a head start on tomorrow's work.

6th Grade:  Write up the worksheet on probability games.  Write your answers clearly and in complete sentences when you analyze the games.  Use the correct notation when giving the probability of the outcomes.

Reminders:  Field Day T-shirt orders are due this Friday, April 22nd.

                  Congratulations on a job well done during CRCT testing.  Everything went smoothly.  Thank you for your cooperation and patience!

                 **We'll resume help sessions this week according to the regular schedule: 8:15 on  Tuesday for Adv Math 7, Wednesday for 6th grade, and Thursday for Math 7/8.

 

 

6th Grade:  Red workbook pages 102 through 105 due on Wednesday.  We will have a short quiz on simple probability, the counting principle on Wednesday. The workbook pages are a good review along with the worksheets you got last week.

Adv Math 7:  WS "Bulletin Board" both sides is due on Wednesday.

All classes:  Welcome back!  Hope you had a great spring break.  No help sessions this week because teachers are required to count and sign out test materials each morning.  Remember that you need two regular #2 pencils for the CRCT--no mechanical pencils whether they claim to be  #2 pencils or not.  Get a good night's sleep and be ready to stay sharp!
