6th Grade:  Just to catch up...yesterday, you did some work on order of operations and the worksheet "Cryptic Quiz".  Today, we began combining (or adding) signed numbers.

No Homework tonight.  Have a great Halloween! 

7th Grade:  We continue doing all kinds of word problem applications which can be solved using one variable.  Our focus today was on distance and age problems and the techniques which are especially  useful for these types of problems.    Quiz on Friday on all types of word problems.  Be sure to use those worksheets to help review.

6th Grade:  For HW tonight, do the WS "Vampires"--only the one side.  Remember to show and label all work in your notebooks.

7th Grade:  Finish the practice math contest you got on Friday and do the worksheet "Singing and Dancing Hawk".  Show all work in your notebooks.

Grade 6:  WS packet sides 1 and 2.

****Please Note the following corrections on the "Art Appreciation" WS that is part of HW:  At the bottom of the page where you do the decoding, the number below the letter A should be 3 3/10, not 3 1/10 and the number below the letter O should be 2 17/30, not 2 5/12.***

               Second period, take another look at Pumpkin Problems, especially #10, and decide if you want to change your mind about your answer or stay with it.

6th Grade:  Finish coloring your pumpkin graph.

                 Finish "Fraction Mysteries" and "Pumpkin Word Problems" (Hint:  on the Challenge problems, try using guess and check to get started.)

                Do "Super Heroes" WS and remember to write all work out in your notebook.

7th Grade:  Finish textbook assignment: p.338/61-57

                                                             p.343/ 27-42

Monday, October 22

Grade 6:  WS "Chain Code" both sides and "Snowman"

Grade 7:  WS on inequalities:  1-24  Write work out in notebooks, do the graphs on the worksheet.

               Quiz tomorrow on solving all types of linear equations.

Friday, October 19

All students:  Picture re-takes on October 23rd for students who were not here when pictures were taken.  If you did have a picture taken but your parents want a re-take, you MUST have a note and the original picture package.

6th Grade:  No Homework

                  Have a good weekend!

7th Grade:  Finish odds on side one of the worksheet.

                  Test on Tuesday on solving all kinds of equations including literal equations and absolute value equations.
