Ch 5 Test is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 1st, my last day filling in for Ms. Sullivan.  I have secured the National Geographic dvd GALAPAGOS and we will be viewing parts of it off and on during this week.

I have handed out a summary and review packet for all three sections.  We discussed section 2 on Fossils today.

HOMEWORK IF NOT COMPLETED IN CLASS IS SECTIONS 1 & 2 of the Review packet.

1st and 2nd periods will begin a fun dinosaur project due next Monday the 31st.

I will give everyone an art sheet tomorrow in which to draw a dinosaur of their fancy.

Give it a scientific name- its meaning using prefixes and suffixes to describe it.

Draw and color the dinosaur.

It must have 4 adaptations.

Example:  Aquaphil (water loving)

Bright colors: to help stand out because it is small and to look like poison.

Size: small to allow it to go very fast.  It is also able to fit into small places to hide and live.

Ability to swim: for escaping and to get food under the water.

Eyes: help it to see everything from all angles.

What a review of Chapter 4!  I had many a light bulb go off for many students whose questions were cleared up and the point became clear and evident.  Lots of inquiring minds and thinking ones.

We are ready for a test tomorrow on Ch4's three sections and I am confident all will do well.

Study session again Friday morning for those with questions.

Thanks,

Ms. Crabtree
