Welcome back for the New Year. We have lots of work ahead of us as we prepare for LGPE (festival). 7th & 8th grade choruses will be judged in March on two LGPE "M" list quality music and also judged in sightreading.
We all need to work hard to make sure that we do our very best for the judges this year.
You will have a test on the terms attached sometime this 9 week period. The definitions are included next to the words.
You will also have an individual sightreading test at the start and the end of the 9 week period. This list will be updated as we add new terms.

New Terms added 1/17/12:
Dipthong = Making 2 sounds out of 1 vowel ex. tie = tah+ee
Dynamics = creating loud and soft movement in a piece
Time Signature = The meter of the song
Key Signature = The key of the song. Where "1" or "D0" is
Fermata = Hold the note longer than its value
Slur = Smooth and connected under the sign (many notes)
Tie = Hold the note the value of both notes below or above the sign. (Only involved two notes)
