At this point any parents that did ot pick up their Brave's Game tickets will have them sent home today with their child. I will have them sign them out and place them in their locker to go home after school. Please ask them for your tickets as there will be no other way to get them to you.
FINAL MANDATORY BRAVE'S REHEARSAL WEDNESDAY MORNING, SEPT. 28TH AT 8:15 AM -
It is going to be a big game day. If you are a parent that wishes to hear your child sing make sure you are in your seats by 7:20 p.m. They will be starting right on time.
All parents will meet us at the stadium in your seats.
Students not in the singing group will ride to and from the stadium with your parents and they will be responsible for you the entire time. Please sit with your parents. You may not come and sit with the singing group as we need to keep track of all of these students and your ticket will be in a different section.
Singing student ensemble: Wear your red DMS t-shirt and your nice long blue jeans to school on Wednesday. You will not be going home after school. Report to the chorus room with the last group dismissed to eat a quick snack before boarding the bus. We will supply the snacks and water. Girls, there is no changing of clothes after we sing. This is what you will wear for the entire night.
Rules:
1. All students that are singing must ride the bus to and from the Braves Stadium. No exceptions.
2. Bring money for snacks and put it deep down in your pants pockets. I will carry all of your tickets.
3. Girls, there is no room to carry purses on the field so leave them on the bus or with a chaperone. It will be locked while we are in the stadium. Bookbags will be left on the bus too.
4. Once we arrive at the stadium we will be led to a waiting area. There is absolutely no talking while we wait underground. This is a very big game and they are expecting close to perfection. We need to put on our very best behaviour to make DMS proud. You will be pulled out for misbehaving and not sing with the group if you can't stay quiet. Please stay in your lineup. There will be no bathroom breaks at that time. Make sure you use the restroom at school prior to leaving or after we get to our seats.
5. We will go on and off the field in complete silence and in a professional manner. No waving to the crowd or players. Stay focussed. This is a very big deal Wednesday. You will be on National TV. No talking or laughing going off of the field. Hum the pitch when given to you. Watch me to stay together. Don't slow down.
6. We will then be escorted to our seated area. We will walk single file and stay together as we enter the stadium seat area. Once seated stay in your seats except to get food and/or go to the bathroom. We will take you in small groups. No one goes alone to get food or go to the bathroom. Always in a group. This is for your safety.
7. Small groups will be dismissed to go to the food area with chaperones to watch you. Do not wander off anywhere else in the stadium or go over to where your parents are sitting as we have to account for all of you. A chaperone must always be with you. Make sure that you get everything that you need at one time so the chaperones can also enjoy the game.
8. You will see yourselves on the jumbo tron screen at various stages in the game. You may cheer when the cameras are on you in the stands. Hopefully one of you will catch a fly ball. No leaning over the rails (even to catch a ball) as we don't want anyone to fall.
9. If the weather gets bad we will all leave together and stay as a group. Single file, no bathroom or wandering off as we exit the stadium and walk to the busses.
10. If the game gets too late we will have to leave as this is a school night. We will definitely leave by 10:15 pm at the very latest in order to get back to DMS by 11pm.
11. Parents will need to be prepared to leave at the same time in order to pick you your child at DMS.
12. We want you to all have fun but be safe and leave a wonderful impression of DMS to those watching you at the stadium. We feel so honored to have been chosen to perform Wednesday evening.
