Walton High School Orchestra concerts

GMEA preparation concert-this is a preview of the concert the full symphonic orchestra will perform at the Georgia Music Educator's Association in-service in Savannah.

January 27 at 7:00pm   Walton HS

 

Per-Festival concert-this is a preview of the selections that all 4 orchestras will perform for their Large Group Evaluation.

February 10 at 7:00pm   Walton HS

Dickerson students will receive extra credit if they submit a program from these concerts to Mr. Sievers. It needs to be signed by a parent and have the student's name on it.

Change in dates for Pre-Festival concert-7th & 8th grade only

The Pre-Festival concert has been changed from Feb.10 to Feb.12. The 8th grade will probably perform on Feb. 23 at the CODA festival and the 7th grade on Feb.24

Walton Orchestra concerts

Walton HS Orchestra will present 2 concerts in the two weeks.

Oct. 7(Tues.) 7 pm -all the orchestras will perform

Oct 13(Mon.) 7 pm-the Philharmonic orchestra plus winds and percussion will perform a full orchestra concert.

Dickerson students who attend and show me a program signed by their parent will receive extra credit on their final grade.

Fundraiser turn-in

Parents and Students

Friday Oct 3rd is the day to turn in money, order forms and donations(if you wish). Please be sure students bring one check-written by their parent and made out to Dickerson Middle School to school and the white and yellow forms. You should keep the pink form for the delivery of items.

If you wish to make a donation, then make the check to Dickerson Middle School and notate it  "Orchestra donation".

The expected delivery date is Nov. 18th. It will start about noon and go into the evening.

Thanks for all your support in this fundraising effort. Fall concert is Nov. 11.

The 6th grade will enjoy a performance by a Japanese drumming ensemble on Fri. 9.19. This should be a terrific concert!
