Checked off page 3 and 4 of the animal booklets and collected the directed reading 15.1 and 15.2 from yesterday/students worked on p. 5 and 6 of the booklet and those who finished got online and took practice tests for the final

Homework: finish p. 5 and 6 of the booklet/make sure you have your 10 digit ID number with you at school tomorrow so we can take more practice tests online

Troubleshooting for Final

I have had a few emails with some confusion about the website. ok, here's some more information:

1. You have to put the www before the georgiaoas.org

2.  After you put in you 10 digit ID I gave you and education as the password, you must choose TEACHER ASSIGNED TESTS not student tests.

3.  It will pull up a battery of different tests. You must go to the 6 science tests that have SKrobanski in the name of the test. There are 2 ecology tests with Skrobanski in the name, 3 genetics tests, and 1 evolution test...all with Skrobanski in the name.

REMINDERS

1.  Bring in $1 so that we can mail your report card to you!  Put in school envelope, make sure your name and homeroom teacher is on it, and put in the black box.

2.  Make sure you get your agenda signed ASAP for permission to watch A Night at the Museum this Friday!!!

Monday, May 11

I was disappointed with the quality of pages 1 and 2 of the animal booklet from many students today. Instead of grading this project (that counts as a quiz grade), I gave it back to everyone and further explained my expectations. Tomorrow I will check off pages 1 and 2.

Some students started page 3, but it isn't due tomorrow. Tomorrow I will give you a printout with instructions for all the pages of the booklet.  

Remember to get online and practice the questions that you will see on the final, next Monday, May 18th.

Worked on page 1 and 2 of the Animal Booklets which will count as a quiz grade....both pages are due Monday

Page 1: Title Characteristics of Animals                      

            List 5 characteristics of animals from 14.1

            Define invertebrate and vertbrates and draw/color a picture of each

            Describe the body plan,nervous system, and guts of invertebrates from 15.1

Page 2: Title Sponges

            List 6 characteristics of sponges

            Describe how they eat

            Draw/color 1 example of a sponge

Students can practice for the science final by going to georgiaoas.org

They put in the 10 didgit number I gave them yesterday. The password is education. Go to Teacher Assigned Test then scroll down until you see science. There are 6 . The questions from the final come from this site.....Good Luck!

Tuesday, May 5

Finished Flower ws and did Ch Review p.324-325 (all questions except #17)

Tomorrow we will go over Ch Review and students will take CH 12 OPEN NOTES Test....you need to have all your notes and directed readings for Ch 12 to use...you also need to study and know the parts of a flower.

The science final will be Monday, May 18th. We will talk about it after we finish CH 12.
