Week of May 7th, 2007

What a busy week we are having!  So much to do....so little time!  ***FINAL EXAM - MAY 22ND***

We are working diligently on the Chemistry of Matter this week, as well as, completing our study guide packet for the Final Exam. 

THIS WEEK AT A GLANCE:

MONDAY -   Class time was devoted to working on review packet in preparation for quiz on Wednesday(except 2nd period - quiz on Thursday b/c of Performing Arts on Monday)  HOMEWORK:  work on packet

TUESDAY -  We watched a quiz video on Atoms.

                   Took notes on the Chemistry of Matter

                   HOMEWORK:  work on packet

WEDNESDAY - QUIZ on questions 1 - 30 from the exam review packet (except for 2nd period)  HOMEWORK:  Element Symbols worksheet

THURSDAY - (2nd period ONLY quiz over 1-30 today!)  Periodic Table, Part of an Atom - complete notes of the Chemistry of  Matter  HOMEWORK: Parts of an atom W.S., Number of Atoms in a Formula W.S.

FRIDAY -  I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM...WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!  Yes, the finally awaited ice cream lab that you guys missed in August, due to my heart attack, is scheduled for Friday!  We will review our metric conversions and culminate the review of metrics with the Ice Cream Lab! 

Remember, Friday is a class schedule change - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, & 7th to accommodate for the 8th grade dance on Friday evening.  Don't forget to review the rules of dress and expected behavior for the dance.  This is always a very fun event to culminate your middle school years here at Dickerson and we want EVERYONE to have a great time!
