March Madness is upon us (GO VOLS!).  I hope your teams are doing well UNLESS they are playing TENNESSEE!  (just kidding!) We have had a very busy week in our new unit FORCE AND MOTION!  I will let you know on Monday when your next test will be.  Some of you have requested the powerpoint from Wednesday - Download forces_and_motion.ppt

  •      Think/Pair/Share Activity with Velocity/Acceleration Problems
  •      Working with a partner you will discuss and work 11 of 22 problems of your choosing

CLASSWORK PROCEDURE: 

  •          Choose 5 Velocity problems
  •          Choose 5 Acceleration problems
  •          Choose 1 challenge question

HOMEWORK:

  •    - Only if you did not complete the above assignment in class 
  •     -You will have to complete the remaining problems on your own

MAKE-LAB: 

  •      Any student that missed any of the 3 labs last week needs to come to my room by 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday to make-up missed lab!!!!

  •      -  DON'T FORGET CRCT REVIEW FRIDAY MORNING AT 8:10 A.M.!!!  Tomorrow we will be reviewing electron configuration, balancing equations, and types of reactions!  Refreshments will be served.

  •      The Iditarod part of the packet is due tomorrow.  The rest of the packet is due on Monday.

DAILY AGENDA 3/12/08:

  •      Turned in the finished labs from Monday and Tuesday
  •      Read article on the Iditarod Dog Sled Race (1800 km) and calculated the average speed of the dog team from the start to the finish of the race taking into account the checkpoint stops. 
  •      Discussed Velocity, Distance and Time problems that will be on the Quest.

HOMEWORK:

      STUDY FOR THE QUEST ON THURSDAY - SECTIONS 19.1 AND 19.3 ONLY!

     Know the formulas for speed and acceleration and how to manipulate the formulas

     Know how to  apply the formulas for given situation problems
