Internet instruction: Today we visited www.sciencespot.net using the overhead LCD projector. Here we were able to research details about the climateand lcoation of the following biomes:
Tundra
Coniferous Forest AKA Taiga AKA Boreal
Decidous Forest AKA Temperate
Desert
Rain Forest
Grassland
NO Homework for tonight!
Tomorrow we will view a power point presentation on Owl Pellets and then we will dissect Owl pellets! The discovery process is loads of fun!!! We will find things such as bones and fur inside the pellets.
Friday we will use lap tops as each student will begin a research project on one of the 6 biomes. On Monday, we will continue to work in class on this research project. The final project will be a biome poster. Higher level thinking skills will be developed in class with this research project.
