Hope everyone had a nice vacation. Was it hard to get up this morning? I feel your pain.
We are beginning our study of evolution. This unit will focuss on how plants and animals have evolved and adapted to live in their environment and survive.
Today we began defining and illustrating our vovcabulary words. I have uploaded the assignment below.

Test over 5.3, 6.1' and 6.2. Also study your notes on these sections. Reviews were given out yesterday (see yesterday's blog). Completed reviews (all 25 questions.... not 23 or 24, but all 25 questions)are worth 5 bonus points on the test.

We finished talking about DNA today and a 25 question review was given out to work on. The completed review can be turned in Thursday before the test for 5 bonus points. PowerPoints and review are uploaded below.

A look ahead to this week:
Today: Finish DNA labs. Start last of the DNA notes.
Tuesday: Complete notes. Work on review.

Thursday: Test over Meosis (Ch 5.3) and DNA (Chapter 6.1, 6.2)
Friday: Clone - Nat'l Geog

Bring color pencils or crayons to class Wednesday and Thursday.
Took the Chapter 5 Heredity test today. We will begin Ch 6 tomorrow.
After today's test we began the vocabulary for the next unit on Genes and DNA. Please have these defined and ready to check on Friday, 2/4/11. There will be a vocab quiz on these terms next Tuesday, 2/8/11.
