Today we worked on a review assignment that will beworth 5 points extra credit on Thursday's (2-1-07) test. The assignment is due on test day.The probroblems are: p.140; #s 1-10, 12, 15, 16, 20, 21 and p.141; #'s 24, 25-28. Answer all questions in complete sentences or write the questions and answers,

As a close-out activity to our unit on Plate Tectonics, I will be showing the movie "The Core." It is rated PG-13. I have viewed the movie and find it an appropriate media for our unit. There will be several activities that will go with this viewing that your student will complete. If for any reason you do not want your child to view this movie, please sign the form that went home today or write me a note and return it to me on Monday, 1-29-07. An alternative activity will be provided. Thank you!

Students had a fun and educational time yesterday with the Graham Slam Lab.
Plate Tectonics worksheets given out Tuesday are due Friday, 1/25/07. We have worked on this in class.
Today, we watched Nat'l Geo- The Dynamic Earth and completed a question sheet on its content. Great wrap-up to our unit!
Students received a Plate Tectonics map that names the plates of the Earth's crust. There will be a quiz on this Tuesday, 1/30/07.
Unit test will be Thursday, 2/1/07. Review outlines will be given out Friday, 1/26/07.

Thank you for all the good thoughts and well wishes while I was in the hospital over the holidays.
Today we worked on the Energy Packet that was given out before the Winter Break. The packet is due on Wednesday, 1/10/07.
A list of elements was posted on the board. Students must identify each of these elements. There will be a quiz on Friday, 1/12/07. (The elements are: H, O, Cl, Si, C, Fe, N, Na, Al, Ca, K, Mg, Ni, S, Au.)
Our next unit is Plate Tectonics , Chapter 4.
Bring color pencils for Tuesday, 1/09/07, because we are diagraming the interior of the earth.
