Assignments - Week of February 4-8

MONDAY: Complete individualized grammar assignment as given in class.

TUESDAY: Complete run-on sentences worksheet. Think of a topic for your research project.

WEDNESDAY: Finish worksheet on fixing run-on sentences. I want you to give two ways to fix each run-on using a variety of ways - two sentences, compound sentence with semicolon, compound sentence with comma and coordinating conjunction, and making part of the run-on into a subordinate clause.

Startling Announcement!!!!!!

There will be no homework this week!!! The school play Honk is in production and the students involved will not have time to do work outside of class. Good luck!!

Students who have time and the desire may work on entries for the Heroes Essay contest or writing fair. Talk to me during class for the specifics.

Finish The Wanderers. Questions for section VI and the AR test are due on Thursday. No Other assignments for the week.

Assignments - Week of December 10-14

MONDAY: Begin the outline for your WWW paper which is about heroes. You don't need research, but you need to have evidence from your head to suppport your thesis.

TUESDAY: Complete you outline and be ready to write in class tomorrow.

WEDNESDAY: Continue wowrking on The Wanderers. Section V is due on Friday.

THURSDAY: Complete reading Section V and do the questions.

FRIDAY: Section VI of The Wanderers is due Thursday, December 20. You wikll also take an AR test on the book that day.

Assignments for Week of December 3-7

MONDAY: Work on preparations for WWW - topic is vending machines in schools. You need to have research from at least two sources using Cobb Virtual Library and an outline completed before class on Wednesday so that you can write your paper in class.

TUESDAY: Complete research and outline. Bring to school to write paper tomorrow.

WEDNESDAY: Read in The Wanderer. Section 4 should be read by Friday.

THURSDAY: Complete section 4  in The Wanderer.

FRIDAY: Read in The Wanderer.  Section 5 should be read by Thursday.

MONDAY: Continue on your research for your WWW persuasive topic. Remember to list the source of the information. You need to have at least two sources for your topic.

TUESDAY: Finish your research and bring to class on Wednesday.

THURSDAY: Make cards for clauses and sentences terms. Knowledge base d quiz on Tuesday. Complete worksheet - both sides.

FRIDAY: Complete section 3 of The Wanderers. Do a great job on the questions. Begin research for your second persuasive paper. The research and outline are due Wednesday to be used in class.
