Hi, Friends!  Tomorrow you will take your Reading CRCT Practice Test #2 in class. It will cover all the skills we have worked on this year, comprehension, vocabulary from context, poetry, figurative language, sound devices, rhyme and meter, setting, mood, tone, etc.  Don't panic.  You will do fine!

Reading week of 3/21

Hi, Friends!  The next two weeks before Spring Break, we will be reviewing for the Reading CRCT in both levels of our Reading classes.  I have attached today's PowerPoint below if you'd like to review in case we have a POP TEST TOMORROW! (Hint, hint!)

Also, remember we are now our last 9 week quarter, and you must read and test on two more AR books.  Some of you already have taken one!

Week of 3/14

Hi, Friends!  This week in Reading (both levels) we are starting to work toward our CRCT in April.  Our Reading CRCT is the day after we return from Spring Break, Tuesday, April 12.  We have about 2 1/2 weeks left to tighten up and practice all our comprehension skills.We will start a practice Reading CRCT test Tuesday 3/15, finish it Wednesday 3/16, and analyze the results next week.  We are also finishing the testing for the second AR Book Test today in class.  Those who were absent will take theirs on their return to school.

Reading week of 2/28

Hi, friends!  This week we are working on the 4 types of expository organization in both levels of reading.  While some activities differ, the concepts are the same.  Both groups will test on these 4 types of expository organization this coming Monday,  Monday, 3/7.  The test will look exactly like the visual organizer the students completed yesterday in class.  It should be in their Reading Notebook.

ALSO: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TOMORROW - "School Pictures will be taken tomorrow, Thursday, 2/3.  Picture package information and envelopes were sent home on Tuesday and extras are available in the front office.  Pictures are pre-paid, so only students who are purchasing pictures will be photographed."
