Bonjour, mes amis.  Aujourd'hui en classe:  We had VERY short classes today because of the 8th Grade Mock Writing Test this morning.  We took the AVOIR quiz and practiced telling time!  You have a major TEST Thursday.  Practice the clock tonight.  I'll be at school early in the morning if you need help.

le français lundi - le 10 décembre

Bonjour, mes amis!  Aujourd'hui en classe:  We checked the Crossword Puzzle that corresponds with the classes that you study worksheet from Friday!  You may download both the powerpoint and the Crossword from Friday, Dec. 7's blog.  You should start to memorize the vocab for Thursday's TEST!

Also we learned a new infinitive today and its "3 definitions"- -- AVOIR = 1) to have; 2) as the anchor for lots of French expressions like I'm 13 years old, etc, and 3) as the 2nd part of the past tense for most French infinitives!  You will have a QUIZ tomorrow on just the definitions and the conjugation!  Memorize it tonight.

For Thursday's TEST: 1) Making information questions;  2) The clock, telling time, and interpreting schedules;  3) putting things in order (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. and last); 4) things in your bookbag or locker.

le français vendredi le 7 décembre

Bonjour, mes amis!  Yesterday in class we did a clock illustration.  Make this up if you were absent.  The directions are below.  You may use typing paper or art supplies at your house this weekend.  Now you should be able to tell time and to ask the question"What time is the (movie), (your French class, etc)?" and answer it with "(The movie/ My French class, etc.) is from _____ to _____!  In other words, we have finished learning how to tell time!  If you don't understand, you MUST come in early!  Telling time will be on next Thursday's test!

Today in class:  2 handouts and lots of vocab!  Also for next Thursday's test.  We learned lots of vocab for all the schools in France, the courses you study, a new -er infinitive called < trouver > , and how to express your opinions about your classes.  Download the worksheets and the powerpoints, fill them in, and catch up this weekend.

Your homework is to finish the crossword on the back side of the opinions worksheet.

Bon weekend!
