Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Students chose The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan for our second book.  This is a great book to read and explore Greek Mythology.  Percy Jackson is a dyslexic student who has been thrown out of every school he has ever attended. Now he is off at boarding school and is just beginning to learn the truth about who he really is. This book is one of the nominees for this years GA Book Award.  I have been pleasantly surprised to find the book quite humorous.  Percy Jackson and the Olympians
