For your weekend homework....

Quiz this coming Tuesday for all classes.  Know the map that we created together in class on the physical features of Africa.  You will receive the exact map, only with numbers on the locations.  You will have a physical features word bank so spelling and capitalization will count.

Periods 5 - 7...

You will also have on that day a country test.  Same format as above.

For all classes...

Test next Thursday on the political and physical maps of Africa.  You have had tons of time to study, so I am expecting excellent results!  Study 2B and 4B - the highlighted portions.

Also...design the cover of your Tiny Book.  The plan is for this to look like a picture book for a young student.  Your task is to complete only the cover right now! Make it interesting...colorful and only use the first two paragraphs of the reading as your information source - due Monday!

For homework tonight....

Study for your test on the political and physical maps of Africa. We highlighted the specifics today on the two maps....except Period 5....We will do tomorrow!

The test will be on Thursday, December 15th.

If you did not finish labeling your political map today, and then color-coding it in class, please do so tonight.

Periods 5-7...If you did not finish cutting out the strips, please do so tonight.

 

Today, we saw a fabulous movie on the Great Rift Valley.  Remember for homework tonight you are to create a reaction page on 5B.  This is a wide open activity, except...you must have a title, and your presention of your ideas must use the entire page in the notebook.  You may computer generate some, but I want you to creatively present what you were most affected by - maybe more than one idea....or, possibly an entire collage of pictures and words....Please do not spend oodles of time on this though...

Your post test on the physical/political map of Africa will be next Thursday.  We will talk tomorrow about what countries you will need to know.

Periods 5-6-7...don't forget your envelope!

Remember you should be well into studying the Physical map of Africa.  I believe the map tests will probably be on Thursday, December 15th.

We are currently working on the Political map.  So, get the studying for the Physical map behind you now and then you will only have the Political map to focus on.

Tonight...begin studying the physical map that we completed in class.  There is a test coming - but, no date has been announced yet.

For homework...

Please read pages 40 - 46 in your online textbook.  Stop on page 46 at the section labeled Suez Canal. This is Chapter 1, Section 1.
