All classes took a  today on the physical features of the Middle East and North Africa. If you were absent today, please try and come tomorrow at about 8:15ish to make this up.  Go to the cafeteria and I will meet you there.  Please be on time! 

Periods 5, 6, and 7:  Please finish your mindmapping (if I gave it back to you today) for homework.  Be sure to approach this creatively.  Balance out your use of pictures with your words.  Add color (using pens and colored pencils), but add the color in a planned, organized approach...not randomly!!

Friday, August 26th

All classes will have a quiz next week, Wednesday, on the physical map of the Middle East (Southwest Asia), and North Africa. More to come on the format next week.

Periods 3 and 4: Add color to the section of the map that we did in class today. Follow the "purple paper" mapping directions on page IV in your "IN". Do not continue labeling the rest of the checklist.  Study what we did in class today. Who knows, ,there might even be a PoP Quiz coming your way on that section MONDAY.

Open House is tonight!  Be sure to give your parent your schedule so that they will know what order of classes to follow.  Remember this program is only for the adults!

All classes:  Your notebook covers are due tomorrow.

 

 

August 24th

Wanted you to knowthat I tried to update my blog before I left school today, but when I went to post the new entry, it didn't move one bit.  I have a feeling that there was a software or some updates being pushed in by the county.  I tried to save it as a draft, and then return and try again....but....no, that didn't work either.  So, here I am at 9:00 P.M. making an entry from home.  :0}

All classes need to be finishing their Interactive Notebook cover.  This is due Friday for everyone.

For Periods 4, 5, 6:  Complete the map categories on page 1B in your "IN" and then tackle the writing piece.  Be thoughtful. Think beyond the obvious.  Do not over-write! Support your main point and be done with it.  Make it legible. The summary is only one paragraph - about five sentences, and your response to the essential question is whatever it takes to produce a good response. Your space is limited to the front side, only.

All classes...except Period 4...had a quiz today on the world map.  Period 4 will complete this task on Wednesday.

All classes have their Interactive Notebook cover due this Friday.  You have an extensive set of directions as your guide.  If, as you work on this at home, you find that you have a question, write it down in your agenda, and ask it at the beginning of class.

Tomorrow, Aug. 23, we will start off in our classroom, but then we are going to the Media Center for research orientation.
