Well....tomorrow is test day....I feel like you are well prepared.  I hope you all do well!

I gave you one more reading today.  There will be one question on the test from this piece.  The question will be the "big picture" point in this reading. What is the significance?

Today in class we finished the atlas work on our unit.  I believe that this was a good review.  We talked briefly about the dinner party task...read from our novel and then, using the class set of textbooks, read and began to answer questions from the reading. If you were absent today, I have attached it for you so that you can complete it tonight, also.  Short answers are fine...no need for complete sentences.Download europe_at_war_pages_333_338_book_questions.doc   

I have a meeting tomorrow so I can't have anyone come in @8:30...but Friday should be fine.

Please study for your test scheduled for Friday. 

Please also begin working on your Black Tie Dinner Party that you are hosting for your six FRIENDS!!  Make your plans carefully as you have invited some real characters!!  If you now need to find out more about their personalities, please feel free to further your research on them.  Plan the menu carefully, and above all.....plan that seating very CAREFULLY!

Your plan is not due until Monday, however their will be another two, creative, artistic components....to come later....

Just think....you even get to eat with them.

2. WWI
3. Russian Revolution
4. WWII

If you were absent today, or did not finish it in class, please finish the activity on the 6 men.  Go to World Book through the Dickerson page and find your 8 facts, but only those that relate to the person and their connection to WWII.

If you want to, you can come in tomorrow at 8:30 to make up anything that you might owe me, or to catch up on our novel...

Today we ran out of class time so our Nightly Reading Quiz will be tomorrow.  It is not multiple choice and it comes from the pages 318 - 322.

We read the booklet Anastasia's Album which is the story of the last czar and is mostly made up of primary sources.

I also handed out the readings on World War II, and announced that the test on WWI, the Russian Revolution, and WWII will be on Friday, November 30th.

If anyone has anything to make up (check I-Parent as I loaded several grades today), or needs to complete some readings, come tomorrow at 8:30.

Today we finished up the information part on the Russian Revolution.  We started mindmapping this info, and students should complete it on 36A...The info comes from the handout that you should have in your pocket folder already.

Mind Mapping Processing Piece - Today in class we did the last part on World War I.  I gave you a set of readings that came mostly from World Book.  You will use this for your study piece for this unit test, which has not been announced yet...but, you should start studying...

For homework you should complete the mind mapping processing piece.  For those who did not get the categories written down...they are:

November 12, 20007 - Today we read from our novel and then finished presenting our biopoems.  Next, we went online and used World Book to answer questions on WWI.  We finished it for homework.

For Homework:  Please be sure to bring back your test tomorrow with a parent signature.

                       Finish defining the vocabulary words from today's class if necessary.
