FYI:  You will not be allowed to ride home on a different bus on the last day of school...so, if you were planning on doing that..you have some time to make alternate plans!

Also...the rising 7th grade required summer reading book is on sale in the media center...Running Out of Time...for $6.00...(no change given).

In your textbook: Know pages 119 - 136

In your Interactive Notebook know pages 33A/B - 39A/B.

For Homework:  Please make your 5 flashcards; one for each of the five Canadian regions.  On one side write the name of the region, on the other side write the info that I wanted you to know for each of the five topics.  Bring them to class tomorrow.

For Homework:  Please remember that you have an assessment tomorrow on the 8 vocabulary words.  You must know how to spell the vocabulary word and be able to write its definition.  It will be the same format as Monday's assessment.

Also...you might also start studying for the test on Canada that will be next Thursday, May 15th...

• Know Chapter 5 in your text...all 5 sections
• Pages 39A/39B and 45A /45B

This is a good starting point...More to come later.

Be prepared for an assessment on the next 8 words.  Know the spelling of the vocabulary words, and know the definitions just as you wrote them.  I will not take off for incorrectly spelled definitions, but it is expected that you spell those correctly, too.  We will complete this assignment on Thursday...same format as Monday's! I suggest you make flashcards again just as I suggested last time.

For homework....

Study the spelling and definitions for the 8 Canada unit words/phrases.  There will be an assessment on Monday.  More to come tomorrow.

If you were absent today, or are in my 4th and 5th period classes...We saw a great video today, and will finish it tomorrow.  I will show the first 40 minutes of it again tomorrow starting at 8:15.  Hope you can come so that you will understand the stories that we are following.

For homework:

• Start studying the eight phrases - (4 on Canada's climate, and 4 on Canada's vegetation)...for some type of assessment most likely on Monday of next week..more to come on this.  I recommend the use of flashcards as a strategy for studying.

If you were absent yesterday, Thursday, please come on Monday @8:15 to complete an assignment.  If you were absent today,for the quiz, or did not finish the reading from GA! then you, too, should come @ 8:15 on Monday.
