Welcome to 8th Grade!

The 8th grade year will focus on preparation for high school. Please watch this blog and read the Tribune for important dates and updates regarding meetings, information and deadlines. Please note that we have scheduled a Parents Only meeting at 6:30, October 2, 2008 at Dickerson. Walton representatives will be here to present valuable information to assist parents to have a better understanding of the transition process. Students will hear the same material at school.

Grades for the first 3 marking periods determine initial placement in high school courses. Please encourage your child to perform his or her best in order to be able to be placed in the appropriate classes. I look forward to working with you and your adolescents this year.
