Ms. Nix had her a baby boy on Saturday named Logan Fenton weighing in at 7lb 11oz and 20.5 in long.  All are doing well.

We went over the tests from Friday.  Some good scores and a few not so good.  I will give a retest this week and round the two scores.

HOMEWORK Read section 1 & 2 pgs 248 - 259 of Chapter 8.  All vocab from these two sections need to be written down with definitions.  Also, you are to do the Section Review questions for both sections.  No critical thinking questions.

We went over workbook pages corresponding to Ch. 19.  Test is tomorrow on the Excretory System pgs. 581-586 and Ch19 Fighting Disease pgs. 592- 616. 

Again this a brief study of these systems and if everyone has read the pages, know the vocab and studied the workbook pages, they should make a good grade.

I will give up the first half of the period tomorrow for questions and answers.

Wednesday May 7th

We are having great discussions on the Immune System and how our bodies fight disease.  Everyone is responsible for the vocab from Ch 19 and the vocab from pg 581 -586- The Excretory System.  We will do the corresponding workbook pages in class tomorrow to help review for the test on Friday.

Tuesday, May 6th

We went over in class the workbook pages for the Excretory System.  We have moved on into Chapter 19 -  Infectious Diseases.  We are reading in class with discussion of topics as we go.  We should be able to test by Friday.

We began our brief study of the Excretory System.  We read pages 581-586 in class .  Everyone should have the vocabulary written down.  We will work along in the workbooks with the reading.

No word from Ms Nix.

No homework.

We will begin Monday on a brief study of a few body systems not yet covered.  We will learn about the Excretory System, The Immune System, and the Endocrine System.

We will then have a short study of Plants and Animals.

Hello to all my new students!  Even though I am new to Ms. Nix's students, I am not new to Dickerson.  I  filled in for another 7th grade Science teacher for three months beginning in January. 

We will proceeding rather quickly over a number of science subjects of interest until the end of the year. 

Tonight's homework is to complete resource sheets started in class today.
