Government continued....we compared the governments of UK, Germany, and Russia. Test on government is Thursday. Tomorrow will be review day.

HOMEWORK : Start studying for Thursday's test.

January 1/23/12

Today we continued with government. We reviewed systems and types of government  and compared the governments of United Kingdom, Germany, and Russia.

HOMEWORK: Complete the Types of government web. Use pages 6 and 8 in your notebook to help you. TEST ON GOVERNMENT IS THURSDAY (moved again!)

January, 1/20/12

Students took the Government learning check today (originally a quiz). Students graded the learning check as we went over each question. Test on government has been moved to Wednesday.

HOMEWORK: Start reviewing your study guide. Third period-your test is on Wednesday.

Thursday, 1/19/12

Today we concluded systems and types of governement. Students will take a short quiz on systems and types of government.

HOMEWORK: Quiz on government tomorrow. Test on Tuesday.

Tuesday 1/17/12

Today we continued our government unit. Students are learning about the different types of government. Tomorrow we will compare the two predominant forms of democracy-Parliamentary and Presidential.

Homework: Quiz on government this Friday.

Friday, January 1/13/2012

Today students learned about the three systems of government. Students also took guided notes.

HOMEWORK: Number your interactive notebook all the way to Pg. 130 (front and back)-just like your old notebook. Make sure your notebook is 81/2 by 11, college ruled, single subject. DUE TUESDAY. Have a great long weekend!

a. Describe the ways government systems distribute power: unitary, confederation, and federal.

Today, we began our unit on governement. Students are taking notes as they learn the systems of government. We will continue.
