5/9/08 - We are continuing to work on verbs.  There is no homework.

6th Grade Language Arts

5/8/08 - Today we took a reading test that was first given to the students back in the fall.  This will measure how much they have improved in the area of reading.  After they finished the reading test, we worked on our verb packet.  There is no homework.

5/7/08 - We checked the packet that we did yesterday, and then we started on a new packet.  We are working on verbs, and we will have the test next week sometime.  I will let you know.  There is no homework.

5/6/08 - I had the substitute do pages 13-21 in their language arts workbook yesterday with the students.  We went over and checked the work today.  We also checked a packet that I handed out last week that we have been working on.  There is no homework.

5/2/08 - We checked our packet from yesterday, and then we started on a new packet.  I will not be writing my blog on Monday because I will be absent.  I have instructed the substitute to do workbook pages for their classwork that day.  There will be no homework.

5/1/08 - Today we checked the packet that the students got on Monday, and we started working on another packet.  There is no homework.

4/30/08 - Today we continued to work on our teacher appreciation letters and our 1st Verb packet.  There is no homework.

4/29/08 - Today we spent class time writing teacher appreciation letters to a favorite teacher at Dickerson this school year.  I also passed back the graded capitalization test that the students took last Friday.  There is no homework.

6th Grade Language Arts

4/28/08 - Today we started on our "in depth" study of verbs.  This is a very big unit, and we will have a test at the end of it.  I gave the students an overview (study guide) today on verbs.  We also started working on a packet today about how to tell the difference between a linking verb and an action verb.  There is no homework.

4/25/08 - Today we took the capitalization quiz.  No homework.  Have a great weekend.
