4/29/08 - Today we spent class time writing teacher appreciation letters to a favorite teacher at Dickerson this school year. I also passed back the graded capitalization test that the students took last Friday. There is no homework.
4/28/08 - Today we started on our "in depth" study of verbs. This is a very big unit, and we will have a test at the end of it. I gave the students an overview (study guide) today on verbs. We also started working on a packet today about how to tell the difference between a linking verb and an action verb. There is no homework.
4/25/08 - Today we took the capitalization quiz. No homework. Have a great weekend.
4/24/08 - Today we took the CRCT language arts portion today. We will have our capitalization quiz tomorrow. Please review your study guide, packets, worksheets, and workbook pages tonight.
4/23/08 - Today we reviewed for the CRCT test. There is no homework.
4/22/08 - Today we went to the media center where Mrs. Inman did a CRCT review for the students on research skills, etc. There is no homework tonight. I have decided to change the date of the capitalization quiz to Friday, 4/25/08. Continue to study nightly for this quiz by going over packets, worksheets, workbook pages and the study guide that was given.
REMINDER: The CRCT test starts on Wednesday. Make sure that the students gets a good night's sleep, eat breakfast, and bring two #2 pencils and a pleasure reading book with them each day. They will have the reading test on Wednesday, the language arts test on Thursday, the math test on Friday, the science test on Monday, and the social studies test on Tuesday.
4/21/08 - Today we finished the packet that we started on Friday. We also reviewed for the CRCT which begins on Wednesday. There is no homework. However, continue to review packets, study guides, workbook pages, and worksheets for the capitalization quiz on Thursday.
4/18/08 - Today we checked the workbook pages we did yesterday. We did the first 6 pages (front and back) of a 12 page packet. We will finish the packet on Monday. There is no homework. However, we will be having our capitalization test next Thursday, 4/24/08, so please review all the packets, study guide, and workbook pages between now and the test date.
4/17/08 - Today we worked on capitalization skills using the workbook pages 179-184. We also started working on a big packet. There is no homework. However, continue to study nightly for the capitalization test next Thursday.
4/16/08 - Today we checked all of the work we have done this week. We had 4 worksheets (front and back) as well as 4 workbook pages. We will be having a capitalization test next Thursday. Please review your study guide (green handout), and all the worksheets we have done every night. There is no homework.
