6th Grade Language Arts

9/27/07 - Today we learned how to spot sentence fragments and how to turn them into sentences.  There is no homework.  I won't be here tomorrow, so there will not be a post.  They are going to be reading a story in the literature book with the substitute teacher.  There will be no homework.

9/21/07 - Today we learned about the 4 types of sentences (declarative, interrogative, imperative, and explanatory).  We did one page in our WAG book (p. 440, ex. 3 & 4), and two pages in the workbook (p.69 & 70).  Most students finished in class.  However, a few have it for homework.  Check in your child's agenda to see if it is listed.   Have a great weekend!
