Week of 4/21 - 4/25

Announcements:
1.  AC classes (2nd and 4th only):  secure your copy of The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle by Friday, May 2!!  FYI - the text can be accessed online, but you will need a tangible copy to read in class. 
2.  CRCT's began this week.  Students will not have any homework during CRCT's.

Instead, all classes are working on a comma project.  We are looking for examples of all 18 comma rules in real-life contexts.  Students are searching through magazines and clipping examples for each rule to complete their comma project.   The completed project is due May 2.  Students did have the option to work independently or in pairs.  Classtime is being given for this project and magazines are available.  Of course, you may also clip examples at home and bring them to school.  The guidelines and rubric for the project were distributed and reviewed.  Make sure to refer back to the guidelines as you work!!  It is a major grade!!
