21.3  Lives of Stars

Warm-up:

• Place HW WS(79) in HW basket
• Complete GR wkbk pages 259-261
• Define Key Terms in Journal section
• Enrich WS(80) "The Apparent Magnitude Scale" (add to CW section of SCI NB)

Classwork:

• Note-taking from text - 21.2 Characteristics of Stars, add to CW section of SCI NB

• Internet activity: Hubble Deep Field Academy

• Concept mapping:  Create a concept map in your Journal section of your SCI NB with Spectrographs in the top circle.  Review section 21.1 and add links to other circles that describe the type of information about stars that astronomers can learn from spectrographs.

Homework:  Continue working on class assignments if needed

Astronomy Unit Test:  Wed. 5/14  (Ch. 19-21)
