Alrighty then…we’re wrapping up the year here real soon and some of you have a little bit of make up work left to do.  I’ll have it for you tomorrow and a “We do, you do” exercise for those of you who need a little more work on these integers.  Come focused and ready in the AM

All in all I think that you guys did pretty well today and I’m certainly looking forward to seeing what you do on the integer quiz tomorrow.  Study your sheets from last week, know your rules and you should all do just fine.  Most of you did very well on the integer rule pop quiz today so I think that may be a sign of good things to come tomorrow.  It is very, very important that you do all of your homework and make up any missing assignments that you may have.  These two little things can make all the difference in your final grades.

Well it went a little better today with the integers, but we still have some remembering to do.  The sooner we get it, the sooner we’ll be done…but it will take practice and a little effort on your part.  Use your orange sheets to do your homework and really try your best.  We’ll cover everything one more time on Monday and then I’ll give you the opportunity to show what you’ve learned on Tuesday.  The quiz / re-quiz Tuesday will be a great opportunity to improve your grades, but it can also drag them down if you don’t prepare.

Ok, so the pop quiz didn’t really work out that well for most of you.  I think that you’re just making it harder than it has to be, because most of you already know how to do this stuff.  We have a little time so here’s what we’re going to do:  Tomorrow it’s back to the basics of integer and integer operations with homework over the weekend.  We’ll do much of the same on Monday and then we’re going to have replacement quiz on Tuesday.  So, come rested and ready.

Rusty, rusty, rusty…we’re all a little rusty on our two-step equations.  Make sure you get your homework done so we can have a quick review before our super, top-secret pop quiz tomorrow.   This will be a real good way to get some of those grades up before the end of the year.

And now it is over almost as quickly as it began…CRCT is over and done. However, there is still plenty of math to learn and we will be setting our sights on learning some that it before the year is over.  So come ready to work and come ready to learn tomorrow.

And so it begins next week…CRCT.  The math test will be on Thursday and I’m not worried one bit about you guys.  As long as you stay committed to the problems, read carefully, and do what you know how to do, you’ll be OK.  You have all worked hard to prepare yourselves, so get plenty of rest, get plenty to eat and relax a little over the weekend; be ready and do well.

Well, you guys weren’t as sleepy as you were yesterday, and you all worked pretty hard today.  We just have to keep the peddle to the metal until we get to next week.  You know, CRCT is now looming large and we have to keep on it so that we can be as prepared as we can be.  I know that you’ll work until the work is done.

I know that most of you put in a real hard week in math.  We have a lot to cover when you get back and most of us need to do what it takes to improve our grades.  We got just a little sloppy today, but we’ll make up for it after the break.  Have fun!

Now, as I said in class, attached below is a set of 8 questions and the construction instructions.  For those of you who so choose, print out the 8 questions and the construction instructions, look up the answers (multiple choice) and return it to me the Monday you get back and I will count it as a quiz grade.  Consider this a voluntary take home quiz.  It will be very easy and some of you could use a good grade to help your average.

Once again, most of you did pretty well on a very difficult test.  Scores are out in i-parent and you’ll have the chance to improve them if you so wish.  Also, for those of you interested, there will be an opportunity to improve you’re overall grade and to better prepare you for CRCT out on my blog over the holiday.  It is extra credit, it won’t take much effort, but it has to be completed before you return to school.  I’ll tell you more tomorrow.

You guys have been working really hard this week, and you really have stepped up your game.  You should be very proud of yourselves.
