The novel scrapbook page is due tomorrow. Bring any materials to class that you need to bind all pages for your group into one book. You will have the remainder of class time to work on your presentation to the class on Friday.

1st and 4th
Write and answer 20 questions from Farewell to Manzanar. The questions should relate to characters, plot,
historical significance, setting, etc. Do not include any questions relating to vocabulary. That has been covered. The test over the book is Friday. 2nd and 3rd
We will continue discussing the novels for our lit circles and begin working on culminating activities. The directions for the scrapbook have been revised and new instructions will be given out in class on Tuesday. The pages should be completed by Thursday so that the final assembly of the book can be accomplished by Friday. In addition, be thinking about a way to interest your classmates who did not read the book you read in choosing it to read over the summer.
1st and 4th
4th period will have the Vocabulary quiz over Farewell to Manzanar on Tuesday. In addition, complete reading through Chapter 19 and answer the comprehension questions that go along with those chapters.
1st period

Finish reading your book for Lit Circle. We will complete session 4 in 2nd period and session 5 in 3rd period. You will have a final project to complete for your respective book as well as be expected to take the AR test over your book.
1st and 4th periods
1st period: Answer the comprehension questions for Farewell to Manzanar.
4th: Study the vocabulary terms on the handout you completed. You will have a vocabulary quiz on Monday.
Continue reading Farewell to Manzanar and answer the comprehension questions through Chapter 18. You will be taking an AR test over this book.
