Work on your illustrations for your 4 panel cartoon of the Silk Road.

Create and illustrate a timeline of the Silk Road using the dates on the Silk Road Record.  Complete the information on your Religions chart for Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism.

2nd and 3rd Periods

Work on your assignment that is due Thursday( either a billboard advertisement or a 4 panel cartoon of the Silk Road)

4th period.

Work on your illustrations that tell the story based on a specific period of the Silk Road.

2nd and 3rd periods

The Silk Road was actually many roads that traversed the Asian continent from Xian in the East to Rome in the West.  Many items were traded along the routes that make up what we call the Silk Road.  There were countless people with a story to tell.   China's inventions and products were traded along these routes, along with goods from the west.  Your assignment is to create an advertisement in billboard fashion of one of these products.  Refer to the directions given out in class today.  2nd period--you will get your directions tomorrow.  This assignment is due Thursday.

Some of you had a little problem with the directions for creating an acrostic poem.    Refer to my example on Monday's blog.  In addition, follow these guidelines:

It must be one sentence.

It must contain words that begin with the letters that spell "CHINA".

It must be written neatly in pen or marker, or you may type it.

It must include an illustration.

It must be proofread and any errors corrected before you turn it in.

It must be on 1/2 sheet of plain white paper.
