Biography Project
Instead of reading an AR book this month , your assignment for February has been to read a biography. In place of an AR test, you will complete a timeline and give an oral presentation about the subject of your book.
Biography Timeline Instructions:
1. Your timeline is to be on large sized construction paper or on two 8x11 pieces of paper, taped together short side to short side
2. Your timeline is to include at least 10 events. You may include the birthday and date of death if applicable.
3. The timeline needs to include at least 8 (small) illustrations- pictures can be drawn, taken from magazines or computer generated- or a combination of all three.
4. Timeline should be placed in the center of the page so events can be staggered above and below timeline (so all pictures will fit)
5. This is a visual presentation – you will be graded on how it looks in addition to the information included. Please arrange information and pictures on page before gluing to ensure you can fit everything neatly.
6. Your timeline is due on March 1st. This is the second day back from your break,
7. Your time line will be worth 100 points.
Biography Oral Presentation
1. You are to dress up as the subject of your biography. You may bring your costume/props to my room when you get to school and I will keep it for you.
2. You are also to bring 5 props/ items that will help you tell your story.
3. You will stand and give an oral report to tell the class about yourself (the subject of your biography) You may include the 10 events from your timeline. You also need to explain to us why you are famous and include your accomplishments.
4. You need to be prepared to give this presentation on Wednesday, March 2nd
