Unit 2 Part 2

Students completed the test for Unit 2 Part 1 on Tuesday.
9/28  Yesterday we began Unit 2 Part 2.  Students completed a Perfect Square Table from 1 - 25.

Homework - Practice: 4-5

9/29 - Students will learn how to estimate nonperfect squares and identify on a number line.

Students also will learn the difference between rational and irrational numbers.

Homework - Practice 4-6

9/30  Students will learn how to simplify radicals.

Homework - Worksheet.  Students should review notes and examples if having difficulty with this concept.

10/3  Review simplifying.  Students will also learn how to add and subtract radicals.  This is similar to adding and subtracting like terms.

Week of September 26

9/26  I will be having a math help session on Monday.  The Unit 2 Part 1 test will be given on Tuesday.

On Friday, students were given a review sheet to finish for homework. 

9/27  Test on Exponents

9/28  We will begin Part 2 of Unit 2 beginning with Square Roots.

9/13  Today we started Unit 2 - Exponents.  We reviewed vocabulary and practiced writing and evaluating exponents.

9/14  Negative Exponents.  Students will learn how to move negative exponents across the border.

9/6  We are finishing up Unit 1 with Venn Diagrams and creating Venns from word problems.

9/7 & 9/8  Review for Test  - Students will also be given an answer key for the test.  They should review all notes.
