PARENT/STUDENT INFORMATION NIGHT

An overview of the ISA and application procedures will be explained with a question & answer session to follow.

 Interested students must be recommended by the Middle Schools for 9^th grade English Honors Literature, AP Human Geography, & Spanish II and they must live in the Walton attendance zone. Students who reside in Cobb County and have attended an ISA for at least two years are also eligible to apply.

el 30 de enero - Review food definitions, practice food cards and review hw.  Discuss food vocab with pwr pt pictures.  HW = 2 worksheets

el 31 de enero - Review hw, practice cards and vocab.  Speaking activity in groups of two.  Translations.  HW= worksheet

el primero de febrero - Review hw, write food descriptions, er endings, translations and food questions.  HW = 10 defs, and study food cards

el 2 de febrero - Mandatory trip to computer lab for student survey.  Food quiz.  No hw

el 3 de febrero - review present tense.  Translations, answer questions.  HW = worksheet.

el 23 de enero - Review hw, finish movie. Questions 1 - 14 - start and finish for hw

el 24 de enero - Review 1-14,  Discuss beginning, middle, and end of movie in Spanish.  HW = questions 15 -28

el 25 de enero - Review questions 15 - 28.  Sequencing activity.  HW = study for quiz

el 26 de enero - Review and take quiz.  Intro to food vocab.  HW = make food cards

el 27 de enero - Practice food cards in groups of two for 15 minutes.  Written vocab practice.  HW = finish work not completed in class.

17/1/12 - 20/1/12

el 17 de enero - Character vocab with power point pics.  Review ar/er/ir and stem change verbs.  Practice (hw) food vocab in groups of two.  HW = 20 more vocab cards

el 18 de enero - No Spanish classes.  AM writing test, PM 8th grade movie

el 19 de enero - 10 min vocab card practice.  Start movie.  HW = Worksheet "las definiciones."

el 20 de enero - Review hw, watch movie.  HW = character sentences

10/1/12 - 13/1/12

el 10 de enero - Discuss second semester rules and expectations.  Review subject pronouns and Ar verbs.  Intro to ER/Ir verbs and vocab.  HW = Make and MEMORIZE 15 vocab cards (12 subject pronoun cards, 3 cards with list of ar, er, ir endings).

el 11 de enero- Practice cards in groups of two.  Review verbs endings.  practice verb vocab with power pt pics.  ER/Ir verb conjugations and translations.  HW = 12 vocab cards and 12 sentences.

el 12 de enero - Review hw questions on board.  Practice er/ir verbs.  HW = study

el 13 de enero - Review and take quiz, intro to stem change verbs, start movie vocab.  HW = 20 food vocab cards
