el 3 de febrero - "Comida Musical" Full period activity to practice food vocab.  HW = study food vocab and vocab cards

el 4 de febrero - Review and take quiz.  Er/IR endings and verbs - conjugate and translate.  HW = 2 sided worksheet

 

24/1/11 - 28/1/11

el 24 de enero - Review questions 1 - 14, Do 15 - 28 in groups of two.  Create 10 sentence composition about the movie (start in class and finish for hw)

el 25 de enero - Review comps in groups of three, Discussion of characters.  Define people in restaurant.  definitions of vocab, review present tense and stem change verbs (HW = study for quiz on Thursday)

el 26 de enero- Writing test/ Bullying Video/ Language Arts Movie

el 27 de enero - Review and take quiz.  Start new vocab.  HW = bring Span/Eng dictionaries

el 28 de enero - With substitute teacher, look up vocab words.  Do 5 of 6 pages of packet.  HW = finish packet if not completed in class and bring plastic bag for vocab cards to be made on Monday.

 

Spanish Program for upcoming 9th graders

The International Spanish Academy at Walton High School will hold an 8th grade Parent/Student Informational Meeting on Tuesday, February 15 at 6:30 in the Media Center at Walton.

el 21 de enero - Discuss character hw sheet, sequencing activity in groups of two, discuss beginning, middle, and end of movie.  HW = movie questions 1 - 14

A message from La Señora Brink

Dear Dickerson Parents,

Inclement weather is expected for early next week.  Here are a few helpful facts for you and your student(s) for this and future weather events. 

1. The Cobb County School District  website, www.cobbk12.org  will have information as early as  Sunday afternoon regarding school delays or closings 

2.  You may also gain information regarding closings or delays by tuning into local news or radio.  

3.  If school is delayed by two hours, Dickerson Middle School will cancel ALL before school clubs, study sessions, practices, study halls, detentions, etc.  The school will operate on a two hour delay and the building will open to students @ 10:45 A. M. 

4. Bus riders a 2 hour delay means that the buses will run 2 hours later than they normally do. So if your student's is picked up at 8:39, a two hour delay would mean the bus will pick up your student at 10:39.
