el 5 de mayo - Discuss el cinco de mayo. Eat and listen to music :)   HW = make sure hw assigned on Monday is complete

el 6 de mayo - Discuss topics of next test (next post). oral quizzes, review vocab cards.  Intro to verb doler.  Practice doler with body parts.  Review games.  Hw = study body part vocab

el 7 de mayo -  finish oral quizzes. Review and take body part quiz.  Intro to preterite.  Practice preterite tense. HW = p. 85 and ex 17 only of p.86

el 8 de mayo - Substitute teacher will give students packet to practice preterite tense.  HW = work not completed in class.

A Parent Meeting regarding Walton's International Spanish Academy will be held Tuesday evening, April 28th at 6:30 in the Walton theater.

el 28 de abril - Review clothing vocab, review hw assignment, discuss clothing with seasons, discuss cost of clothing.  Intro to numbers 100 - 1000.  HW = study clothes for quiz

el 29 de abril - Review clothes and take quiz.  Practice numbers, intro to present progressive.  HW = practice worksheet, and ex 20 and 21 on p.69 in wkbk

el 30 de abril - Review number hw.  Discuss next oral.  Intro to and practice present progressive.  HW = p.80 in wkbk and study for oral

el primero de mayo - 6 orales, review homework and progressive.  Hw = Study for quiz on present progressive, practice numbers for oral if necessary.

2.  La Familia - Family vocab
3.  El Color de Pelo/ojos - Describe hair and eye color of photos provided
4.  Los Antónimos - Write the antonym of the Spanish adjective
5.  Los Posesivos - Usage of possessive adjectives
6.  Los Cuartos - Read Spanish description, and write room of house
7. Salir, Hacer, Poner - Know definitions and conjugations of the 3 verbs
8.  Los Quehacered y las obligations - Express chores and what needs to be done around the house.
9.  Traducir - Translate sentence fron English to Spanish
10.  Leer - Read dialogue and fill in blanks of sentences according to info in reading section

You may use two of these three excuses - Se me olvidó.  No lo recuerdo.  No tengo la menor idea.

el 13 de abril - Vacation discussion (into to preterite yo form), new vocab (rooms and chores), practice new vocab with listening exercize and power point pictures. HW = make vocab cards and do p.50 in wkbk

el 14 de abril - Practice vocab with cards, review deber and p.50, intro to verbs hacer, poner, and salir.  Translate sentences using 3 verbs.  HW = p.48 ex8, p.51 and 52 in wkbk

el 15 de abril - Discuss topics (topics listed on next post) on next test (test is Mon, April 20th).  Review 3 verbs and answer questions with the verbs.  Review rooms and chores.  Discuss chores and obligations.  HW = study vocab cards and 3 verbs for quiz tomorrow

el 16 de abril - Review and take quiz.  Practice activity in 2s.  Translate obligation sentences (chores and rooms with verbs necesitar, deber, and tener+que+infinitive).  Start 18 chapter questions in class and finish for homework.

el 17 de abril - Review chapter questions (hw) and play Jeopardy to review for test.  HW = STUDY

30/3/09 - 3/4/09

el 30 de marzo - Review sentences, hair/eye color, and descriptive adjectives for quiz tomorrow.  HW = Study for quiz

el 31 de marzo - Take quiz.  Intro to possessive adjectives.  HW = p46 in wkbk

el primero de abril - Review and practice posesivos (worksheet and short video).  HW = study posesivos for quiz
